COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund
Picture of Downtown Greensboro

Many of our neighbors will be severely impacted by steps taken to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.  The Community Foundation's COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund (founded initially by Crescent Rotary Club Foundation) is accepting gifts from individuals, corporations, and funders who want to help.

Grants from this fund are being coordinated through the Greensboro Virus Relief Fund with guidance from the United Way of Greater Greensboro, City of Greensboro, County of Guilford, and Guilford County Schools.  Current priority funding areas include:

  • Food Insecurities
  • Education Interruptions
  • Employment Reductions
  • Housing Vulnerabilities
  • Medical Access
  • Business Disruption

To date, the Virus Relief Fund has granted over $1.4 million to 69 local nonprofit organizations that provide direct support to our community. These resources will supplement, not replace, other assistance.
